Root Canal Treatment |
When a tooth is badly decayed or broken down, and there is an infected pulp, one might experience very significant pain.
Root canal treatment is a means of treating such a tooth without having to extract it.
The dentist first removes all the decayed tooth structure, followed by removing the infected pulp.
The pulp chamber and root canal(s) are then cleansed and disinfected.
Finally, the root canal(s) are filled with a rubber based inert material before having it restored to form and function with a crown.
